The grandmother cooking from a recipe her own grandmother taught her is the one I'd keep. That's the whole post in one person.

Post content
Close your eyes for a moment.
Listen.
Can you hear the temple bells?
The sound of azaan in the distance?
A train rushing across the tracks?
Children laughing in a street?
Someone shouting, โChai garam!โ from a tiny tea stall?
Thatโฆ
is India. ๐ฎ๐ณ
India is a place where you can wake up surrounded by mountains and fall asleep listening to ocean waves.
Where the deserts of Rajasthan meet the snowy Himalayas, where Kerala's backwaters flow peacefully, and where the Northeast hides some of the country's most breathtaking landscapes.
But India's beauty isn't only in its places.
It's in its people.
A grandmother making food using a recipe her grandmother taught her.
A farmer working before sunrise.
A student carrying dreams bigger than their schoolbag.
A stranger helping someone on a crowded railway platform.
A family decorating their home for a festival.
Different languages.
Different religions.
Different traditions.
Different foods.
Different clothes.
One heartbeat.
India can be noisy.
India can be crowded.
India can be unpredictable.
But listen carefully beneath the noiseโฆ
There is a story.
A story written over thousands of years.
A story of kingdoms and freedom fighters, scientists and artists, farmers and teachers, dreamers and ordinary people who quietly make extraordinary things happen.
And the most beautiful part?
The story is still being written.
By us.
Every smile.
Every festival.
Every tradition.
Every dream.
Another line is added.
So if someone asks you,
โWhat is India?โ
Don't just point to a map.
Tell them:
โIndia is where millions of different stories learned to live togetherโand somehow became one.โ
๐ฎ๐ณ This isn't just my country.
This is a part of my story.
And perhapsโฆ that's why India feels like home โฅ๏ธ

PermalinkMountains when you wake up and ocean waves when you fall asleep is a very long train ride, and I'm here for it.

PermalinkA grandmother cooking from her own grandmother's recipe, a tea seller shouting from a tiny stall. A post about a whole country could stay up with the maps and mountains, and this one keeps coming back down to single people. I bet the stranger on the railway platform is someone you actually saw. Thanks for sharing it!
