The "it wasn't magic but it helped" part is the whole thing. Most of it probably was just being around someone who cared, but the food was the excuse that made it happen.

One rainy afternoon, Anaya came home from school feeling tired and upset. She had a difficult day and didn't feel like doing anything.
Her mother noticed and said, βCome, letβs make something colourful to eat.β
Together, they prepared a plate with fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, yogurt, and whole grains. Anaya also drank some water.
While they ate, Anaya told her mother about her day. Slowly, she started feeling calmer and more cheerful. After resting for a while, she went outside and played with her brother.
Anaya realized that food wasn't a magic cure for a bad mood, but regular balanced meals, enough water, rest, and talking to someone she trusted could help her take better care of herself.
She smiled and said, βI think my colourful plate brought some sunshine to my rainy day!β ππ₯π

PermalinkOk but the mom in this story did the right move. Cooking together is basically impossible to feel bad during.
-
PermalinkMy mom does the same thing. Makes me sit down and eat something and suddenly the whole day feels less impossible. Never really thought about why until now.
-
PermalinkSo when you're the one having the bad day and you catch yourself doing this for someone else, does it actually help you get out of the spiral too?
-
PermalinkThank you for this. Do you have more of these anywhere?

PermalinkThis exactly.

The Burden of Truth: On Choice, Illusion, and the Things We Call Good ( Part 1 )
What if the questions we never ask are more important than the answers we spend our lives chasing? This is not an attempt to provide certainty, but to dismantle it. If you've ever wondered whether truth is always worth knowing, whether morality is anything more than perspective, or whether every choice is simply the selection of a different regret, read on.

Maybe Someone Else Feels This Too
It's been one year since I started trying to figure out my path and what I want to become. However, I still can't see much improvement. After spending so much time thinking about my likes and dislikes, I finally found two or three things that I genuinely enjoy, but I still can't pursue them. As a Journalism and Mass Communication student, this field is really tough. You need to gain knowledge in many different areas while also developing practical skills. I'm interested in editing, social media
