when you say 'under the moment, even, the second', is that the same instant described two ways, or are they different?

At the end knowing it is too late

However I start to analyze the past

With all the perhaps, maybes, and byes

Regrettably none worth to my taste

At the end we keep waiting for the next

Regardless how hard to tell if we should

Under the moment, even, the second

Feeling abandoned as waiting to be tested

At the end we all try to understand

Whatever we think that only god knows

At the end there is no end of day

Since tomorrow is too far to comprehend

At the end too much fear to truly let go

At the end we all hold something dear to our heart

And at the end it is all about longing,

That never ends with belonging in our soul

At the end I wonder what makes you mine

At the end I wonder how to be truly yours

Between the absolute and the unknown

At the end, we do find the end,

And at the end I have no regrets

i'm copying out 'it is all about longing / that never ends with belonging' into my notebook. that line just sits right.

you end with 'no regrets' but the whole thing sounds like regret, like you're listing all the things you're unsure about. did that resolve?

there's a lot of longing in here. i keep wondering if you actually reached whoever the 'you' is, or if you're still waiting.

the part about fear to let go hit me. i know that place. you don't move because moving means deciding.

wait, when you ask 'what makes you mine' and 'how to be truly yours', is that about someone real or are you asking yourself?

the (1) in your title makes me wonder, is this a series? like do you keep writing about endings, or is this the only one for this feeling?

the image of waiting when you're not sure if you should; that stuck with me. was this about a specific time, or a feeling that recurs?
