One right choice for every four wrong ones is a better hit rate than most of us would own up to. Twenty percent and still shouting winning halfway through sounds about right.
Just a happy ending?

Always walking in the wrong direction, there I am, at the mercy of the world.
One right choice for four wrong ones.
What am I doing with my life?
Living is not a sea of wonder, it's not like living in the Elysian Fields.
Living is persisting, fighting, showing your claws in moments of vulnerability. Winning!
But where is the happy ending in all of this? It's an immensity of choices and uncertainties.
An immensity of emotions and feelings, almost uncontrollable.
Life is not linear, each choice has a different consequence.
Each act brings an advantage or a disadvantage.
But living thrown at the mercy of helplessness doesn't mean surrendering the game.
Living is like a battlefield, a minefield where you have no idea what you're stepping on.
It's like a chessboard: you choose to be the king, the queen, or the low-rank pawn.
What would be a worthy ending? To embrace death, or to fight and prosper until the day it embraces us forever?

PermalinkOut of king, queen or pawn on that chessboard, I'd pick the pawn. It's the only piece that gets to walk all the way across and turn into something else at the end.

PermalinkJudson, this hit me hard. That line "One right choice for four wrong ones" is exactly how it feels. We try to be the king or queen, but the board makes us feel like pawns. It's not about a happy ending, it's about having the guts to keep playing even when you don't know where you're stepping. Powerful text, man. Congrats
