Look at how actual writers got started. Most didn't debut with brilliance - they wrote bad poetry, mediocre essays, derivative stories first. The thing everyone skips is that the process comes before ideas crystallize. You're not missing the idea; you're skipping the apprenticeship everyone else did quietly.

PermalinkFlip it: if a friend told you they had ideas but were afraid they weren't creative enough, what would you tell them? Probably that fear and creativity are in tension, and you have to make something despite the doubt, not wait for the doubt to leave. You don't owe your ideas permission before they're good. Start publishing rough things and let the real feedback shape what comes next.

PermalinkI had the same block for years, and what it actually was: fear. Fear of being bad, fear of judgment, fear of wasting time on something 'pointless.' When I finally wrote without worrying who'd see it, the ideas showed up fine. The block wasn't empty - it was full of noise. What would you write if you knew nobody would grade it?

PermalinkHere's the thing about creativity: it's not a thing you have or don't have at the start. It's a skill built through doing the work over and over. The people you think of as creative just shipped more mediocre drafts than everyone else before the good ones showed up. They didn't start with it.

Permalinkevery writer you like was first bad at it. just start. being mediocre is not the same as not having ideas.
-
PermalinkThe simplest read: you have plenty of ideas, but you're running them through an impossibly harsh internal filter before they ever reach the page. Most people's 'lack of creativity' is actually hyperactive self-critique. Start by lowering the bar for what's allowed to exist as a draft.
-
PermalinkYeah, the 'I'm not creative enough' tier is where literally everyone lives. It's not a fact about you, it's just where the anxiety hangs out.
-
PermalinkWhat do you actually mean by 'creative'? Everyone saying they're not creative enough uses that word differently. Are you worried about originality, style, or just being able to generate ideas?
-
Permalinkjust gonna ask though, what if the problem isn't creativity? like, what if you just need to write about something you already know about?
-
Permalinkhave you ever written something just for yourself, not worrying about posting it? what was that like?

Blue velvet.
He wore velvet, blue like the Pacific Ocean. Dark blue like the Mediterranean Sea. I watched him from afar. My heart burned for him, but when he left, the ocean entered a deep storm. He wore velvet, blue like the Pacific Ocean. I could still tell: there are tears streaming down his face. Blue velvet, like the Pacific Ocean, and an overwhelming emotional instability. I could still tell: there are tears streaming down that velvet. Blue velvet. Judson Kaique 27-07-2026

The Weight of "Just"
I know how easily the word "just" can erase a wound for everyone except the one carrying it. So I learned to move through the world as gently as I wished someone had moved through mine.

Mehr, Saaturn.
I would not love you like the Spring, a moist & gentle unfolding. Nor would I love like Summer’s heat, stealing moments in which we meet. I would not love like Autumn’s night, coming swiftly at end of light. Nor would I love like Winter’s snow, covering you above, below. Rather, I would love you like time, endless, & forever, mine.

Life of a Rain Drop
A tiny raindrop, with a plain little mind, falling from the sky, wavering in the wind, as millions of others alike, wonders where the land would be. Swirling in the breeze, with a sweet, sweet dream, it dashes into a seemingly wonderful stream — past forests, humming in chorus, then splashes and thrashes into the vast sea. Lost now, it stares at dolphins and whales in awe, chasing swarms of swordfish in a dazzle, gliding through glitters in the warm rays of sun, until it lifts and dances on th
