Before understanding why intelligence is illusion you first need to understand illusion concept very well.

Illusion - it simply means something which appears to exsist but in reality it don't. Example - like a lie.

Why intelligence is illusion?

First you need to understand intelligence. As I said intelligence is nothing but your ability to understand things. And how one can understand things? On based of experiences right? Without no experience one cannot understand anything.

So our intelligence comes after experiences. It means our intelligence is completely on mercy of experiences. Imaginary example - our world have law that if you throw something up it will come down right?

But what if there is other world in which if you throw rock then it flows up instead of coming down? In that case both perspectives are correct but they are based on their own personal experience.

This is the reason why I said intelligence is also illusion because one day it could appear in one form but we have no idea that it might appear totally different from its previous form. In such case one time it could appear as our world is only truth and other time it could appear that it is not.

So what appears to us is changing because experiences is also changing. This is why nobody can claim a truth through their Intelligence because intelligence is also illusion. It is false it depends upon experiences which is changing. And a thing which change cannot be the truth.

How come oneness is then ultimate truth isn't it also a perspective of someone?

See that is why I keep telling that this subject of oneness isn't about intelligence if you try to understand it then you will fail. This oneness is subject of becoming which you already are. How can you become which you already are? Ask these types of questions to yourself not me. It will help you to remove your ignorance.

And about how is can be truth? So this thing that everything here is simply existing or everything here is simply a presence. Example - trees are presence, rocks, mountains, you, your surroundings people. Everything is simply existing. So this presence or existing is oneness. This is the other reason to call it oneness too. See everything is one? Isn't it ? More easy - everything is simply exsisting, so saying that everything is one, it is not wrong. This fact of simply knowing that you are exsisting is known as awareness. But that doesn't mean that tree is not itself exsistence. Just like how exsistence you are, the tree also.

    Your idea that a thing which changes cannot be the truth is very old. Parmenides said almost exactly this around 500 BC, and Heraclitus answered that change is the only real thing. The rock falling up is Hume's worry too: nothing promises the next rock falls. You have landed on Parmenides' side of a 2,500 year fight.

    Thanks for posting this! The world where a thrown rock flows up stuck with me, mostly because the people living there would be just as sure about their gravity as we are about ours. Being that sure is where most arguments start. My guess is the oneness part gets the most pushback in this thread, and that is a good thing :)

    The rock that flows up doesn't make either world wrong. People there would learn their law from experience and be right about their world, the same way we are about ours. That sounds like intelligence doing exactly its job. I'd accept your point about experience and still reject the jump to illusion.

    Illusion is almost like faith, but there is a difference: we see an illusion.

    Intelligence is recognizing the difference. Wisdom is making choices based on past experiences. Knowledge is something dated and communicated about an experience.

    The learner still needs the illusion of what they know through experience. They need to use real and concrete elements; such as knowing that something that goes up, under certain conditions, comes down... to begin understanding the environment they live in.

    But there are things we cannot observe directly with our own eyes. We can understand them through the lenses of nature, through their effects and through the traces they leave behind.

    It does not mean that we do not see. It means that we cannot directly see what happened; we can see the traces that show that something happened.

    Imagine that we are on a road. Up ahead, we see skid marks on the ground: nothing but tire marks left by rubber on the asphalt. We did not see the vehicle. Even so, we may conclude that a truck passed through there and braked.

    The truck is not before our eyes. What we have is the trace. From that trace, we construct an understanding of what happened.

    This is where intelligence must recognize the difference between what we see, what we know, and what we deduce.

    Illusion can arise precisely in that space: we see something real, but what we believe we have understood may not be exactly reality.

    That is why we need to see the mechanism at work. Not merely know information about it, but perceive how it works through experience, recognize its differences, and then use that understanding wisely to make choices and comprehend the environment in which we live.
