The church has sold the same lie for decades, that you move on because you're faithful, like grief is doubt. But the Psalms are full of people crying to God about loss, years after it happened. David wrote about Absalom's death knowing it would never stop hurting. The culture says manage your feelings, Christianity says sit with them and bring them to God. Your point that we shouldn't disparage a feeling is exactly what lament does.
for those people who are still in denial.
move on in my perspective is about how we slowly can live without them, we forget all about them, we don't care anymore when we met a person looks like them, we don't care anymore all about them. thank you ezra, your story inspired me to write.

The Woman Who Cant Be Moved
I hate how people easily say "I'm totally 100% move on" Do you think u really forget what does he smell like, what his favorite food, what his typing looks like.
If one day, u meet a person with smell exactly like his smell, What Would You Think?
If one day, u meet a person, but You're still haunted by the past and You're still equate him with your past. What Would You Do?
If one day, He start a relationship and his new girlfriend looks alike to you, What Would you think?
If one day, He post his new girlfriend with song that you recommend to him, What Would you think?
If one day, He and his new girlfriend having a date in your favorite place with him, What Would you do? angry, annoyed, despiteful? hey he just having a date in a public place, others people can go there too. Yes, that is what came out of your mouth. But in you're heart it will be very noisy "I found that place and i was the person recommend that place for us, that place were belong for us not u and your ugly new girlfriend."
See? move on not that easy. Just focus on your life and watch out every single word that came out of your mouth DO NOT disparage a feeling.
1 July 2026, We met for a reason, either you're a blessing or a lesson.

PermalinkI love how you said "move on not that easy" because this is literally what happened to me. when I met a person that have a small habit exactly like him, I literally aware when I haven't been able to move on yet.

PermalinkThis is the honesty everyone needs to hear. You're naming something we have a collective stake in denying: that emotional entanglement doesn't switch off on a moral timeline. We tell people to move on partly because we're uncomfortable sitting with the fact that feelings aren't choices. The ethical question underneath isn't whether you *should* still hurt when you catch that smell—it's whether the world can let you hurt without treating it as a failure on your part.

PermalinkThe whole urgency to 'move on' is a mythology we inherited, this postwar faith that feelings are a problem to solve rather than survive, that speed of recovery proves health. There's a specific historical moment when emotional attachment became weakness. What you're describing is exactly what that narrative refuses to witness: a person genuinely haunted, and that honesty is not failure. You're arguing for the cultural permission to linger, which is radical precisely because it contradicts everything the self-help apparatus has sold us.

Getting Close
I never asked for much… just to feel like I mattered to someone the same way I made them matter to me. But life taught me silence, distance, and acceptance. Now I understand that not everyone will value you the way you value them. Still, a small part of me hopes that one day, I will meet people who will make me feel important without me asking for it. “Sometimes healing begins when you stop expecting and start accepting.” Maybe everyone have their own story, if you have time kindly share.

Right person, wrong time
Sometimes, two people are simply at different points in life. They have goals and responsibilities that can't be ignored. You can meet the right person while you're still trying to grow and figure yourself out. Or maybe you're working hard to build your future, so there's no room for a relationship yet. It doesn't always mean someone didn't care enough or didn't try hard enough. Sometimes, the timing just isn't right.

TO THE SUNFLOWER (no grammar critiques please, i just wannna know if its readable or an edgy kid trying to sound profound, please be nice this is my first attempt)
there is an eagerness to you that i hate. enthusiasm, enjoyment, an excitement for the mundane, whatever you wanna call it and it makes me feel evil.i am the same. the exact fucking same but i feel this undeniable anger, a pang of pure disdain in my head, maybe its because you get to stay a child, you look at me with that light in your eyes and i can barely manage a smile.sometimes i wonder if my eagerness bothered the grown ups the same way. i haven’t lost it yet though, and i hope you wont

The wind is blowing
As she opens the window, the wind starts to blow. The clothes she hung on the threads outside started to fly. A hand picked her favourite white frock. It was a monkey, and it wore the frock and ran away.
