The Yin and Yang framing makes sense but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to actually do it. Accepting the bad feels harder than just pretending it's not there.

Come on, embrace yourself, accept your mistakes. It’s not as easy as it seems, but you are a duality, a force like Yin and Yang. You are not 100% good and not 100% bad. Embrace the shadows and just live in the present. Mistakes and successes are what keep us human. Remember who you are, and who you used to be. Change happens from within.

Embrace the shadows

I like that you didn't make it sound easy. Because it's not, and I think that's the part everyone forgets.

This resonates when you've actually sat with your shadows for a while. The noticing-and-catching part? That's not abstract, you're literally rewiring an automatic response. It doesn't happen once and you're done. It's gradual: you catch the old pattern, choose different. Repeat. That's the actual work, not some philosophical shift.

Have you found this to be true in your own life, or is this something you're still working toward?

The accepting part is definitely the hard part though. Like intellectually I get it, but actually living it is a different thing. That gap between understanding and doing is where most people get stuck.

The 'change happens from within' part is real though. Can't rely on anything external to fix you so yeah.

The thing is, accepting your flaws and sitting with them feels very different from moving on. I wonder if the real change isn't about embracing the bad part, it's about deciding it doesn't define you anymore.

Yeah, the realness here. You're not pretending it's a one-time thing and you're done. That's the difference.

When you say shadows, are you talking about like the parts of yourself you're not proud of, or more the unknown stuff about who you are?

He wore velvet, blue like the Pacific Ocean. Dark blue like the Mediterranean Sea. I watched him from afar. My heart burned for him, but when he left, the ocean entered a deep storm. He wore velvet, blue like the Pacific Ocean. I could still tell: there are tears streaming down his face. Blue velvet, like the Pacific Ocean, and an overwhelming emotional instability. I could still tell: there are tears streaming down that velvet. Blue velvet. Judson Kaique 27-07-2026

  • Patient as a tiger.

I am far from my goals, even though I try to achieve them. I am like a climber at the foot of Mount Everest. I need to be patient, as patient as a tiger stalking its prey. I need to be as patient as planet Earth has been for billions of years. I may fall along the way, but I will always get back up. I am like a climber at the foot of Mount Everest. I've been wandering the beaches, trying to find you, but you said "I don't belong here," as fierce and shy as a feral cat. But I'll still fight for you, even hiding, I can't make you leave. It hurts to love you, I'd be lying if I said I didn't look for you. Scorching sand and hot sun, I'm here for a reason. You were a beach bum, you sought to surf in the summer, with waves as high as mountains, do you still remember that shell necklace I gave you? It hurts to love you, I'd be lying if I said I d

  • Young enough to make mistakes.

I wanted to have everything I longed for. I think I even felt God through these dreams. I'd like to ask Him: hey, hey, can you hear me? Can I still have everything I long for, even the one I love? Sometimes the afternoons are hot. It would be ironic to say that my life is as fragile as rosemary and as fragrant as vanilla. I think I am nothing without the person I love. We were young, in medical school. Hey, hey? Can you still hear me? We can go back to studying anatomy together and s
