The line that stopped me is that her own family did not like her. I work in houses where one child gets everything and the other one gets nothing and nobody ever says why, and the whole house carries on like that is ordinary. You finished ashwood and started this the next day. Did you have Medusa waiting the whole time you were writing the other one.

I have copied out the bit about the hair that shone like the sun. My sister had hair like that and our mam never stopped saying so, and I had mousy brown and heard about that instead.
