First, we visit Restaurante Villa Verde, a pleasant and welcoming place decorated with colorful murals and a rustic atmosphere. There, we can taste delicious local food while enjoying the unique environment of the restaurant.
After that, we continue our journey to Jesús de Otoro, where we can stop and take pictures at the colorful “Yo Amo Otoro” sign. It is a fun and beautiful place to enjoy the local scenery and continue our adventure along the Lenca Route
The journey continues along the Lenca Route, starting with the impressive Lenca-shaped staircase and beautiful mountain views. Then, we visit La Esperanza, Intibucá, where we enjoy a delicious lunch near the historic La Gruta sign.
After a day of exploring, we arrived at our cozy hotel and prepared for the evening. We visited the local hot springs, where we relaxed surrounded by nature. Later, we returned to the hotel, enjoyed some time with our friends and family, and ended the night peacefully, ready for another exciting day.
The next morning, we woke up early and got ready for another day of our trip. We went to a local restaurant to have breakfast and enjoyed some delicious traditional food. After eating, we spent some time talking and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the place. Then, we went outside to explore the area around us. We walked through the nearby streets, admired the beautiful scenery, and took a few pictures to remember the moment. It was a relaxing morning, and we were excited to continue discovering new places and enjoying the rest of our trip.
We said goodbye to our hotel and continued our trip to Gracias, Lempira. When we arrived, we explored the historic town and admired its beautiful colonial architecture. We visited the impressive San Cristóbal Fortress and took some pictures in front of the colorful “GRACIAS” sign. We also walked around the area, learned about its history, and enjoyed the beautiful views. It was a great experience and another memorable part of our trip.

A Journey to Santa Rosa de Copán
Continuing our journey along the Lenca Route, we traveled farther into the beautiful highlands until we arrived in the charming city of Santa Rosa de Copán. Famous for its coffee and cigars, the city welcomed us with its beautiful colonial buildings, peaceful streets, and friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed walking around and discovering some of its most interesting places.
During our exploration, we found a special site surrounded by a peaceful pine forest. There, we discovered a huge stone monument designed like an open book. The pages displayed the Ten Commandments, representing the religious traditions and history of the area. We then climbed a long staircase until we reached the highest point, where we found a large iron cross. From there, we admired the scenery and took some pictures to remember our visit.
We ended our trip at one of the town's most lively art landmarks: the main staircase area.
Welcome Arch: Featuring the famous bee figure and the sign "Yo ❤️ Dulce Nombre," this structure honors local apiculture alongside traditions like coffee growing, carpentry, metalwork, and tobacco production.
Mural Steps: The colorful steps display artwork representing the friendly faces and spirit of the community.
Folklore Monument: At the top, large statues of dancers performing Honduran folk dances highlight the traditional costumes and movement of local culture.
