The Wonders by the Open Sea
On the high cliff, an old rock house, its windows open to the sea — and on the shaky bridge, a young man, eyes clear as the ones upon the cross. Post content
On the high cliff, standing an old rock house,
with windows open to the sea, by the shaky bridge,
clinging a young man, with eyes clear as ones on the cross.
His smile brought a thousand lights,
and his eyes spark the deepest insights,
when you meet him, you will see,
nothing in the past means anything,
he grasps you with his gentleness and purity,
only thing left is to lean on his sides.
Many years passed until these passing days,
his smile stayed in the sleepless nights,
without consciousness of his existence,
pounded head to seek for what it says.
Perhaps it means little that could be spoken or taught,
when those eyes pierced inside mine, what left was only a small sigh,
as the only thing a heart could have felt.
Standing at the windows of the old rock house, by the open sea,
with the shaky bridge still hanging beneath,
nothing really changed much,
only my heart twitches for those clear eyes,
wishing someday they again glance at me.

Permalinkthat thing about his smile staying in the sleepless nights, yeah, i know that. the thing that haunts you without asking.
-
Permalinki get the feeling of something being impossible to shake, like you know it's a memory but it lives like it happened yesterday. or like, keeps happening.
-
PermalinkThe poem seems a bit melancholic at times, longing for days gone and seeing them as a distant memory... However at "Many years passed until these passing days," it shows the optimism for the future latent, and hidden, in the poem itself. An optimism that shows and is careful not to spoil, a happiness and hope for the years to come to bring as much as those passing days :)

PermalinkSo is the rock house the main place, or does the setting just follow wherever your mind goes when you're thinking about him?

Life of a Rain Drop
A tiny raindrop, with a plain little mind, falling from the sky, wavering in the wind, as millions of others alike, wonders where the land would be. Swirling in the breeze, with a sweet, sweet dream, it dashes into a seemingly wonderful stream — past forests, humming in chorus, then splashes and thrashes into the vast sea. Lost now, it stares at dolphins and whales in awe, chasing swarms of swordfish in a dazzle, gliding through glitters in the warm rays of sun, until it lifts and dances on th

The Unbreakable Mask
The Mask Fits Too Well I'm only thirteen— they say that's too young to know what breaking feels like. So I smile. I laugh at the right jokes, say "I'm fine" before they ask, and fold my storms into pockets no one checks. Some nights my memories knock like thunder on a house already shaking. The past still remembers my name even when I try to forget it. They call me strong. But strength isn't never crying. It's carrying invisible mountains to school every morning, finishing homework with han

Blind under the Dawn.
Blind Under the Dawn. Blind by the night lights. I am alone in this vast city, searching for my "self." I can hear distant beats, but the city is abandoned; there is no one to judge my tormented soul at this moment. I wander through the nights, avoiding the sun. The city is still cold and uninhabited; I lose myself in the dawn lights, feeling blind and empty. Always searching for my dark version. Here there are no judges, only sinners. I feel like a wild beast, where I can dance, drink, and hav
