Is detachment what you mean, or is it coming to terms with what you cannot keep? I have seen people find peace in their last years. Not because they let everything go, but because they stopped fighting it.

The results and signs after gaining the knowledge of oneness.

These signs are nothing but the result of having understanding towards the knowledge of oneness.

There are many signs, and they depend on the person. But according to us, what are the most powerful signs?

Signs such as true peace and detachment are among the most common signs that can be seen in a person.

Regarding detachment, you will start feeling detached from your relationships, then from your body, and finally from your mind. The more intense the detachment is, the harder it is to live in this world. But great spiritual gurus say that we have to work with detachment. Why? They give this specific guidance for those who are so completely detached from this world that they do not even want to do the bare minimum to stay alive. Such people do not even eat food because of their detachment from it. In this case, guidance is given so that they at least do some basic work to satisfy their body's necessities.

You see, many people who have no knowledge of spirituality think that working with deliberate detachment is a big deal. No, it is not for them; this guidance is for those whose detachment from this world is so extreme that their lives are in danger. For them, it is said that they should work detached. Detachment should come to you; you should not go chasing detachment.

In such cases, the best way to live life is to use your intelligence. Do what is necessary to do. If eating and keeping your body alive is necessary, then do it. If you truly do not want to live this life and are completely sure that your karmic relationships are finished here, then you should find a guru, and they will guide you on how to leave this world quickly.

The second sign is peace. See, there are two types of peace. One is false peace, which comes from achieving something; this peace is not stable or eternal, and it changes. Just like your mood swings—one moment you feel good and you are at peace, and when you do not feel good, you are not at peace. This type of peace is false, and the majority of the population chases it.

What is real peace? After attaining your true form—that is, oneness—you will see that even when your day is not going well, it is fine. When someone makes you cry or feel heavy, it is okay to cry and feel heavy, and after that, everything is alright. This type of acceptance—that everything is fine, whether things go the way you want or do not want, whether you get what you desire or do not get it—is real peace. When this feeling that everything is fine arises within you, then you can consider yourself truly at peace—not because I or someone else told you so, but because it naturally arises from within you.

There are other signs too, but they are not signs of progress on our path of knowledge. These signs can include gaining certain powers or having your desires fulfilled one after another. See, these types of signs come to you because your internal walls are falling down, and you are becoming closer and closer to your true self.

I drove past a man on the 49 for about fifteen years, same bench near the station every morning at quarter to eight, reading a book that must have been falling apart. One winter he was not there. I thought about him for a week. I do not know if he was at peace. But he was present. He showed up. The people on that bus route remembered him.

I am going to say what nobody else will say yet. The way you talk about detachment, it sounds like you are calling emotional disconnection wisdom. But the strongest people I know are the ones who care deeply and stay connected. Detachment might feel like peace, but it also feels like being alone.

We've turned a simple question into something cosmic. Real peace is staying calm when your coffee is cold, not reaching some final spiritual state.

I know nothing about spirituality, but the part about detachment to the point of not eating something went wrong. That is not progress, that is a person who stopped taking care of themselves. There is nothing wise about letting your body fail.
