Hope doesn't work for me anymore
It doesn't knock upon my door
Hope doesn't trick me anymore
I've seen the lie behind the glow
My dead dreams lay upon the shore
The shore of everything I was before
The shore of nowhere
Where all my colors drown
The shore of nowhere
Where I can't hear a sound
And if the tide comes for me
I won't ask it where it goes
I'll let it carry all the weight
Of everything I couldn't hold
My dead dreams lay upon the shore
And I don't know what I'm waiting for
Maybe there's something underneath
The wreckage I still call me.
