The red umbrella appeared again.
This time it was hanging from the doorway of the hidden room.
Mia walked toward it.
Underneath was a small envelope.
Inside was a photograph of four children.
Mia.
Lily.
Ethan.
Evelyn.
On the back were the words:
โOne of you will remember everything.โ
Mia turned the photograph over.
A date was written underneath.
September 27, 2026.
Today's date.
Mia's heart raced.
The diary wasn't predicting tomorrow anymore.
It was predicting today.
Chapter 12 โ Tomorrow
The first diary opened.
The page contained only one sentence.
โTomorrow, one of you will disappear.โ
Lily immediately stepped away.
โNo.โ
Noah looked at Mia.
โWe have to destroy it.โ
Ethan shook his head.
โYou can't.โ
โWhy?โ
โBecause the diary isn't causing the future.โ
He pointed to the words.
โIt's recording it.โ
Mia stared at the page.
Then she noticed something.
The ink was still wet.
The future wasn't written yet.
Someone was writing it right now.
Chapter 13 โ The Writer
The group searched the hidden room.
Behind an old bookshelf, they found another door.
Inside was a desk.
On the desk sat a blank diary.
Beside it was a pen.
The pen moved by itself.
Writing.
Mia stepped closer.
The words appeared:
โMia Carter will open the door.โ
Mia reached for the handle.
โNo!โ Ethan shouted.
Too late.
The door opened.
Behind it was a long corridor.
And at the end stood a girl.
Evelyn.
