Whether in a bad

Mood or happy

It was you I chose

The moment you saw me

    Ending on loving yourself after a whole poem about belonging to someone else makes me think of how most love songs never get there, they stop at the promise. I bet this one started as a letter to one person and found that last stanza on the way. Glad your first post here is a poem, thanks for sharing it with us :)

    This reads like the early part of something, when a letter gets rewritten five times before it goes out. Wanting to be chosen the moment they saw you is pure first year love, and I am here for it.
