The Language of the Eyes
The eyes can speak without a sound,
They tell the truth where words are bound.
A single glance can heal or break,
And stir emotions wide awake.
The language of the eyes is true,
It shows the heart in every view.
No need for words, no need to hide,
The soul is shining from inside.
A loving look can calm the storm,
Its silent light is kind and warm.
A tear can say what lips conceal,
Revealing every heartfelt feel.
Across all borders, every land,
The eyes speak what we understand.
They carry hope, they carry light,
And guide us through the darkest night.
May every glance bring peace, not fear,
May every heart keep love sincere.
For eyes reveal what words can't do...

PermalinkThis poem is making a claim about human dignity I think we don't name often enough: that being truly seen—having your inner world visible and accepted—is a basic requirement for living as a full person. The poem says eyes 'tell the truth where words are bound,' and I read that as saying there's something we owe each other that goes beyond the script we're allowed to recite. If you're someone whose truth must stay hidden, you're functionally excluded from the reciprocity that makes relationships real. The hope in the final stanza—'May every glance bring peace, not fear'—that's not just sentiment; it's a condition for dignity.

Does your personality matter far less than you think?
I realize, interacting with students, teenagers and younger co-workers peers that many believe that their personality traits are a leading factor in deciding what do to or how to tackle their own career. Although younger people ask these questions more explicitly, older adults also seem to think along the same lines. I personally find it to be far more irrelevant than most people think. Besides my job, where I observe successful people doing the same role with drastically...

Does splitting 'hard' and 'soft' skills make people worse at both?
Hard skills are measurable, specific, and teachable abilities or technical knowledge gained through education, training, or experience, which is often directly related to a particular job or industry. Examples include data analysis, programming, graphic design, accounting, dancing, painting… They are usually the core of a profession, particularly the part of it excluding interaction with other people. On the other hand, soft skills are mostly defined as “personal attributes, interpersonal....

The wind is blowing
As she opens the window, the wind starts to blow. The clothes she hung on the threads outside started to fly. A hand picked her favourite white frock. It was a monkey, and it wore the frock and ran away.

Marley , the rabbit
Marley entered my life without warning and left it far too soon. Though he was only a rabbit, his love, loyalty, and companionship taught me more about friendship than words ever could. This is the story of a bond that neither time nor distance can erase.
