The white skirt and lovebirds aching in comfort while everything screams - I'd copy that line. Which moment moved you most when you were writing it?
The End (2) - without beginning
Sky withdrew to darkness in shooting fire
In groups
Thought
The white skirt and lovebirds aching in comfort while everything screams - I'd copy that line. Which moment moved you most when you were writing it?
Post content
Sky withdrew to darkness in shooting fire
Sparks of light brightened my eyes,
all seemed incredibly beautiful
I watched the fierceness in blank stare
Living things running in unspeakable fear
Women cradled their babies in pain,
some with men hovering behind
I felt puzzled as mind and soul tried to adhere
Hugging tight, those two, in checkered shirt
Lovebirds fiddling in each other’s arms,
aching in comfort of sexual tenderness
I truthfully admired her white skirt
Many and more screams in muffled pain
Species of lovebirds panting and fleeing,
seeking for shelters of forgiveness
I distantly observed them burning tan
Beauty of past world turning into void
Nothing to be left for regrets or astray,
transformed into ashes of forever peace
I floated in the air watching it destroyed
Who am I to judge what past presents
Who am I to foresee the unforeseen future,
I am the shadow of presence, ghost of past
Curious of unknown future acquaintances
Am I wrong to see such in dreams
Am I cursed to sleep through such agony,
I could be one of the blessed souls
Seeking for what truth really means
Sometimes I question how all things happened
Many moments wonder what truth will bring
Surely I believe it all begins with an end

PermalinkIs this a real place that ended, or a world inside your head? Because I need to know where the story goes from here.

PermalinkI keep worrying about those two in the checkered shirt. Do they make it? Please tell me they make it out of whatever this is.
-
PermalinkIs this something you saw? A dream? Or completely made up? I need to know which one it actually was for me.
-
PermalinkYou floating above everything, watching people run and hold their babies - I recognize that. The distance of watching while it all falls apart.
-
PermalinkThis is beautiful and dark and I want to know: did you write this as part of something longer? The title says (2), so there's a (1)?
-
PermalinkThe checkered shirt detail - was that intentional? I've read this three times and I still can't tell if those two escape or burn with everything else.
-
PermalinkSky burning, lovebirds aching, world to ashes, you floating above it all. Those are the four images I'm taking from this.

PermalinkThe white skirt and lovebirds aching in comfort while everything screams - I'd copy that line. Which moment moved you most when you were writing it?
