I can hear them sing and sing, and I try to figure out what their harmonies mean But in the light of day, it is such a tedious task, I have so many birds to listen to, which shall I pick? One is gray with light blue stripes of a well-lived life, Another one pecks at my cheek Pleading to be heard, But I can’t seem to understand.

Birds

I can hear the birds, they call out to me in their ariose melodies,

I can hear the birds; they tell me to stay for a little longer.

I can hear them sing and sing, and I try to figure out what their harmonies mean

But in the light of day, it is such a tedious task,

I have so many birds to listen to, which shall I pick?

One is gray with light blue stripes of a well-lived life,

Another one pecks at my cheek

Pleading to be heard,

But I can’t seem to understand,

No, sometimes you can’t understand it all.

Not even a bird's song

Yes, I know it can be hard to not understand anything at all, but I think we should let the birds talk,

Keep on talking, keep on singing,

Their sweet and dulcet harmonies,

Even if we don’t understand the meaning of them at all.

in daytime it's tedious but do the birds mean something different in the dark, or is it all the same melody?

one pecks at your cheek pleading to be heard and you still can't understand. that loneliness is real.

i lean toward thinking the birds know what they mean, and we're just too loud to hear it right

did you ever actually figure out one of their songs, or is the not-understanding the point?

yes. letting them talk even when you don't understand. that's the whole move right there.

so many voices and you're supposed to know which one to listen to. sounds like a problem before it's a bird.

the gray one with light blue stripes, that image of a well-lived life shows up and then you're trying to pick between all of them

when you can't understand the birds, do you just accept that or does it frustrate you?

  • End of summer

It was college vacation, I took my things out of the car, it was summer, so hot and hostile. I just wanted to tell you "I love you". But your friends had said you were a jerk. Love is like two birds, I came to love you, but I was an idiot to blindly love you, love was for two. Why did I keep waiting? When I saw someone else with you? It was a feeling of hope, I swore you would come back. I wore fine tailoring to meet you, but you didn't care at all. But your friends had said you were a jer

Let me wear my favorite 60s pompadour, and my blue shirt. I don't want to touch on our relationship right now. It's not easy for me to talk about it, my heart has 7 daggers that make it bleed.
