Nobody stopping to ask what storms brought him low is the part I believe most. People step around a man lying on the pavement the same way his ballroom friends stepped around the hungry, and here it is one man on both sides of that. My guess is he would not even want the question now, only the corner to rest in.

He was born into a life of privilege, cradled in constant care, amidst applause and smiles, extolled by a thousand voices. He wore magnificent clothes; not even the sun could harm him; kisses rained upon his brow, and the world seemed to bow before him. Caresses, pampering, and praise— like hail in a storm— fell upon his shoulders, unaware of the true cost. Comforts, luxury, and gold, silver gleaming everywhere, a life shielded from pain, where nothing seemed to perish. His handsome skin, his blond hair, his eyes as blue as the sea, painted the perfect image of a man born to triumph. Like a swift, speeding arrow, he seemed to conquer destiny; bred of noble lineage, with the best by his side. He frequented grand ballrooms, surrounded by distinction; he chose his friends from the highest social ranks. Yet he never turned his gaze toward the other side of life, where hunger has no name and hope lies dying in the shadows. And so his arrogant ego grew, so distant from reality, confusing gold with merit, appearance with truth. He drifted through false promises, became complicit in betrayal; infidelity was his shadow, disloyalty, his dwelling place. And a reckless darkness— like a wind that ravages a home— slowly began to shroud what money could not buy. Oh, the irony of life! The lessons destiny holds! He who had the world at his feet ended up lost along the way. He was a millionaire in riches, in opportunities and possessions; but perhaps he did not know that the soul can also go bankrupt when it loses its very reason for being. Who could recognize him now? There he lies, stretched out on the street, his clothes in tatters, half-dressed; an aura of abandonment surrounds him, and no one stops to ask what storms brought him low. His face, etched by the years, resembles a map of desolation; his eyes, lost in the distance, hold the remnants of a dream. He no longer gazes at the colors, nor the beauty the day offers; the light has vanished from his eyes, and silence steals away his joy. He remains motionless, almost absent, as the world moves on its way; and the crushing weight of his sorrow waits for nightfall to walk again. Who would have thought! He who once had all there was to have now seeks a corner where he might rest, with no hand to help him rise, no voice to bid him return. Perhaps life sought to teach him what he never learned amidst the gold: that there is no greater fortune than a pure and sincere heart, nor any poverty sadder or deeper
