Illusion and truth....

Many of people get very wrong about the teachings given here. By illusion it literally doesn't mean that there is nothing.

If I say a rock which falls down is illusion then many of you can ask is this some kind of joke? Because we could literally see a rock that throws up comes down so how come it can be illusion.

See when say illusion it doesn't mean that rock doesn't exists or that law of gravity doesn't exist. It means simply how you are receiving is wrong. How we are receiving it wrong?

There are two things working here and these both two things actually what creates this falling down of rock. The experience of gravity and the experiencer itself.

I said from the perspective of ultimate truth the simply falling of rock is illusion but when that falling of rock is see by seer is what when that illusion transform from illusion to ultimate truth or you can call it oneness.

So everything we do or we experience is illusion if there is no experiencer involved in it. But if experiencer involved in it then that illusion automatically converts into ultimate truth of union i e. Oneness.

See here those who actually understand this concept of oneness can see right through that Oneness always present because for a rock to fall and see by seer this is the always the case from eternal ultimate perspective. Then how come it becomes illusion? It becomes illusion because lack of awareness. Awareness of what? Self awareness because awareness can come and go that is why illusion can also sometimes become illusion or very same illusion become truth.....

So what comes and goes is awareness not the ultimate truth. If you are aware of self then that very same illusion transform into ultimate truth. To remain in such state of awareness all time is called choosing oneness not natural oneness.

What is choosing oneness? It is simply to become aware of oneness to become aware of the fact that experience and experiencer are same part they always exsist all the time for eternal.

Natural oneness? Natural oneness is nothing simply how everything working in actual truthful way is natural oneness.

Awareness comes and goes while the truth stays put, that bit I'd pin to the fridge. Explains why some days all this feels obvious and other days not at all.

Awareness is doing two jobs in this post. Sometimes it means noticing, sometimes it means being the one who notices. The split between choosing oneness and natural oneness depends on keeping those apart.

Okay, in normal words: when you watch the rock fall with self awareness, what's different from just watching it fall?

The rock falls the same with nobody watching. There are rockfalls on the Moon no one ever saw. So if the illusion lives in the receiving, the rock was never part of it, and the seer turning it into truth is carrying a lot of weight on its own.

Using a falling rock to talk about illusion keeps it on the ground, since nobody can argue the rock away. It reminds me of the old Zen saying that before awakening mountains are mountains, and after it mountains are mountains again. I bet the choosing oneness part gets its own post at some point, and I'd read that one :)

What you describe is very close to the Drg Drsya Viveka, the old Advaita text on the seer and the seen. It treats everything seen as changing and the seer as the one thing that stays. Where you part ways with it is the turn at the end: the text would say it was only ever the seer, not an illusion that becomes truth.

  • Is therapy just confession with the theology stripped out?

One of the funniest things about secular modern culture is watching people reinvent Christianity piece by piece while acting intellectually superior the entire time. People abandoned confession and now pay someone $240 plus taxes an hour to listen to them describe their guilt in a softly lit room. They abandoned sin and replaced it with "unprocessed trauma." They abandoned repentance and replaced it with "doing the work." They abandoned examination of conscience and replaced it with journaling…

  • Does atheism make you more rational, or just leave a void you fill badly?

One of the common atheist temptations is to confuse unbelief with clarity, to assume that religion is the irrational part, so removing religion must leave behind a cleaner and more rational human being. But human beings do not work that way, human beings operate through beliefs, emotions... We do not stop wanting ritual, purity, moral tribe, sense of sacredness or transcendent meaning just because we stop using religious language for those desires.

  • Should we judge Christianity against what came before it, not against what it built?

One of the stranger habits of modern discussion is that Christianity is often judged exclusively against twenty-first-century moral standards while its alternatives are judged against the Christianity that helped shape those standards in the first place. This does not mean Christianity is innocent of wrongdoing. Religious wars happened. Churches accumulated power. Christians persecuted one another. Any honest reading of history has to acknowledge that. The question is whether Christianity made…

  • Does being entertained all the time make ordinary life feel dead?

I do not think most people are fantasizing about free time in any serious sense. They are fantasizing about free time available for consumption. That is a different thing. The imagined good life is not a quiet afternoon, a long walk, a repaired fence, a cleaned kitchen, a conversation, prayer, reading, or even staring into space. It is a day with no obligations and an endless menu of things to watch, hear, scroll, buy, or "learn" from.

  • Does Christianity actually fear knowledge?

One of the most persistent stereotypes about Christianity is that it fears knowledge. The story is familiar. Religion relies on faith. Science relies on evidence. One asks questions, the other suppresses them. The heroes are the people who challenged religious authority, while the Church stands as the institution that tried to hold them back. There are moments in history that support parts of that story. The Church has made mistakes. It has sometimes resisted new ideas. The Galileo affair…

  • Should we stop gatekeeping who counts as a real Christian?

Something occurred to me today. For centuries, especially in the English-speaking world, Catholics were often portrayed as superstitious, anti-intellectual, hostile to freedom, and blindly obedient to authority. Some of that came from real conflicts. Some of it came from centuries of Protestant polemics and what historians call the Black Legend. Either way, the image became deeply embedded in Western culture.

  • Does secular society still believe in original sin?

One of the funniest things about modern secular culture is that it absolutely still believes in original sin. It just refuses to call it that because theological language makes educated people uncomfortable. Listen to how modern institutions describe human beings. We are governed by unconscious bias, shaped by childhood conditioning, manipulated by algorithms, trapped in dopamine loops, distorted by social incentives, blinded by ideology, and mostly incapable of seeing our own motivations…
