Anguish

Night falls, and with it comes a crushing sadness, like a faceless and bodiless shadow chasing you.

The stars move, the sky becomes starry, but silent.

It's not easy at all when there is no certainty in life.

Life catches us like animals in cages, our mind plays tricks on us, unable to distinguish the real from the false.

I'm flying to the moon again now, under the effect of anxiolytics.

I wanted to stay sober, but life forces me to always be doped up.

Life could sound like a "Video Games" song by Lana Del Rey, but it sounds like "Cruel World".

It's chaos, a depressing city, anxious young people. It's chaos, chaos, exhausting journeys and stressed people every day.

I'm flying to the moon again, under the effect of clonazepam, to avoid undesirable thoughts and anguish.

Life catches us like animals in cages, taking away our freedom. Our mind plays tricks on us, unable to distinguish the real from the false.

There is no certainty when life doesn't provide you with placidity.

"It's okay, it's okay".

We can move forward again.

I'm entering a vicious cycle, leaving everything behind.

It could be different, we could enjoy life without the mental traps.

Flying again, as if I were in the Earth's stratosphere, seeing all the stars and continents, far from anguish and mental shackles.

Chaos, chaos, a depressing city, the leaves fall again like a last wish for rest.

It could be different, we could enjoy life without the mental traps.

Video Games next to Cruel World, the life you could have against the one you get, and I knew exactly which two moods you meant. The flight over the continents is the only quiet stretch in the poem, high enough up that the city finally stops.
