Sometimes, you might wonder
that leaving the thoughts that gnaw at you
is a wiser solution to your atrocity.
But as life progresses,
it gets seeded deep into your soul
that in the end,
when you're nearing your grave,
you might not have the chance to ask why.
Even though sometimes,
some things just don't have a why,
it is important you ask them...
Why Am I the cruel one ?
when all I wanted was to be free?
Some things may be debated upon,
however, it's the questions of ideals and beliefs.
But do tell me,
how come you look up at a person
and think it's better to shift the blame?

Permalinkthoughts that gnaw at you. do you mean like actually painful, or more like a worry that won't go away?
-
Permalinkwhat if both things are true. like you genuinely wanted freedom and someone got hurt. can both of those exist at the same time?
-
Permalink'when you're nearing your grave'. that line is the one. that's the part that stays.

Permalinkthe part about leaving the thoughts that gnaw at you versus asking them before you die. that's the whole argument, isn't it. you can't unsee what you've seen
-
Permalinki feel the weight of this. the way you keep asking 'why' like the answer matters and also like you already know it won't
-
Permalinkwhen you say 'all i wanted was to be free', what does freedom look like for you?
-
Permalinkare they the ones who said you were cruel, or is it something you're saying to yourself?
