Separation.

People often think it's just an ordinary word. But only those who have truly lost someone understand how deep it really is. Almost everyone has experienced loss in some way—through love, friendship, hatred, family... it exists everywhere.

Do you know how deep this pain can be?

I wrote something :

Even though we have been separated,
You still live in my heart.
Perhaps I will keep remembering you...
Or maybe, one day, I will forget.
But this home inside my heart will always belong to you.
Even if you're far away, stay close in my soul.
I will endure everything—
Just promise me you'll stay happy.
But before I let go, I want to ask...
What was my crime?
Why was I given the punishment of separation?
Perhaps this distance was necessary.
Perhaps we were meant to carry this pain.
May you find happiness where you are,
And I will learn to live here without you.
I will close my eyes
And drink the poison of this separation in silence.

    The poem is asking a sharp moral question hidden inside the emotional one: if separation is necessary, who decided it was, and does that make your suffering a duty you owe? 'I will endure everything, just promise me you'll stay happy' is striking because it asks you to sacrifice your claim to fairness (to not be punished for a crime you didn't commit) in order to secure someone else's happiness. That's a real ethical tension. The question isn't whether you can do it, clearly you can, but whether the framing itself is fair to ask: that their happiness buys your silence about yours.

    The part that got me was 'What was my crime?' because that's exactly how it feels in the middle of it—like you're being punished for loving someone, or for the accident of time and circumstance. I spent years after I left my old life feeling like that. Every distance felt like a verdict on me, like I should've been different enough to make people stay. But eventually I realized the cruelty isn't from you, it's just the shape of things. We don't get to choose who leaves or how far.
