Let me be precise: "I feel alone" is not the same
as simply "feeling lonely."
"Feeling lonely" is generally reversible,
and from that state, one might perhaps arrive
at some kind of satisfying, happy ending.
"I feel alone..."
From there, a truce—that is the "happy ending."
Since there is nothing outside that holds any meaning for me,
satisfaction will come from a truce within:
the ceasing of cataclysms,
disasters, and poisonous effects—
simply sitting in the warmth of the sun,
with nothing and no one around,
waiting—heart in hand—for the warmth to fade
and for all color to vanish...
