Do the repeated stanzas mean something about returning to the same hobbies? I'm curious what drew you to that structure.

I like the lake,
And I like to bake;
Always I go fishing and fishing rods I take,
And I always make a cake.
I can flip a can,
My skin is getting tan;
I like that man,
because I am his fan.
Every time I see a leech,
It just make me itch,
I just like Bond
because by him I am fond.
Mother to the father always complained,
A lot I played;
Then I explained,
that he is being flayed.

PermalinkI kind of see why your parents were frustrated? But also like, maybe having hobbies is actually the whole point. Idk, the poem makes a case for it.

PermalinkI keep coming back to the line about your parents complaining. The way you defend yourself after that feels so honest.

The wind is blowing
As she opens the window, the wind starts to blow. The clothes she hung on the threads outside started to fly. A hand picked her favourite white frock. It was a monkey, and it wore the frock and ran away.

The Weight of "Just"
I know how easily the word "just" can erase a wound for everyone except the one carrying it. So I learned to move through the world as gently as I wished someone had moved through mine.

Mehr, Saaturn.
I would not love you like the Spring, a moist & gentle unfolding. Nor would I love like Summer’s heat, stealing moments in which we meet. I would not love like Autumn’s night, coming swiftly at end of light. Nor would I love like Winter’s snow, covering you above, below. Rather, I would love you like time, endless, & forever, mine.
